When did connecting to Spirit become about ownership? Do we really believe our way is the only way. That our workshop is the only way- the best way. That God Himself told us ours was the ONLY way.

I would urge- our way is the Truth and the Truth lies in us. However the Truth lies in us ALL. Therefore we ALL have the way to connect. Different strands that take us along varied pathways to the nectar of Spirit. The minute we become possessive and start to get attached to one way we have lost the very essence of the Truth.

Spirit lies in the breeze, in the waves, in the sunlight and moonlight, in the stars and the animals, the plants, in our childrens breath and our lovers sighs. In us all. How can we possibly get attached to one and believe it is the best way. You may have a preference- we are Human after all- however all is equal. Spirit loves us equally. Spirit does not that say that man there beating a drum is more precious to me than that woman meditating then that man singing praises than that woman kneeling in prayer. We are all equal in the eyes of Spirit. It is the human myth and distraction of Judgement that has set us on a path where we choose to pick what we feel is best and in doing often get caught in illusion and separation.

Connection to Spirit is a singular and a group thing. We sit in circle- we connect together and no one way is better than another. Spirit asks it come from the heart, it be Truthful, it be authentic and it be inclusive. How many workshops and events these days can say that?

I have come across circles where you have to send your credentials to them before being allowed to sit in circle. Before being allowed to sit in circle. The most basic, all inclusive act- sitting in circle, close to Mother Earth. Did the Masters tell their students you cannot sit with me until you have done a workshop, did they turn those away who wanted to simply sit and soak in. Did they tell one human they were not as good as another because they had not done a certain “workshop”? No. I understand people want to maintain practices, want to make sure the space is held, want to ensure that people will understand teachings- however it does not sit easy in my heart- feels lacking in the Truth of what a circle is for.

We sit in circle to connect to each other. Yes it can be tricky to have a circle of differing elements- to hold that space. When we drummed at Occupy London, we sat with those who had never connected in such a way before, with those who had drummed, with those who were unable to sit still for long a condition of being homeless for so long, with those eating their dinner, with those who believed and those who did not. All were welcome. From a vicar to a banker. The only requirement: speak from your heart, respect each other and this space and Spirit. That was it. Hard sure. Impossible- never

When we hold space- WE do not hold space- WE are the channel- so being precious about the space holding serves no one. Spirit is doing all the work- we just need to get out the way of the illusionWE are somehow doing something incredible. The incredible thing we are doing is getting out of the way and trusting our connection to Spirit. And when we do not trust that- then we fall into the illusion we are somehow the puppet master. In fact we have become a puppet of our own Ego.

Until we come together- until we truly embrace all ways of connecting- the “shift” the great change shall be but a myth- afforded to the Chosen Few. There are no Chosen Few. There is the Chosen ALL- the only requirement to be “chosen”- is that you choose to come from your heart, to respect others, to yearn to be at One with Spirit and at One with your environment. That you Love All with the same intensity and integrity.

And there when there is no my way, your way- there shall be only The Way. And it shall be about all of us. Coming Home to the space in our Hearts that has always been Divine. And always shall Be.
