What is the Goddess- who is she?

We all have her in us- she is us- she is the Divine Feminine in all of us. We are a fusion of the God and the Goddess.

Recently I have been seeing and hearing a lot about “being the Goddess”.

I would like to debunk a few myths as I see them. Going to a workshop does not mean we now are. Going to a workshop means we now have the skills to be. How we wish to be is now our own Journey. Reading a book, doing a meditation or even wearing certain clothes do not mean we now are- it means we now have the tools that help us to be. The being lies in the daily practice of doing. This mean how we think, how we interact in every single moment. And so being the Goddess is a full time job and not one to be saved up for the weekend or for a special time or for a gathering. It is  24/7 and so it must be because that is what happens when we aim for the Goddess in us. We are aiming for something that transcends the everyday and yet at the same time becomes  a part of the every day. This is how I see it- it is my very own personal journey of understanding. How far we surrender to the being shall determine how far our lives shall be transformed.

The Goddess is the feminine aspect of the Divine and as such her characteristics and talents are infinite. I believe we all hold a fragment of this in us and some aspects shall shine more in us than other qualities. That is okay because collectively we are all the One Goddess- so there can be no competition, emulation or feeling small. We all hold a piece of the Whole in us and as we seek to bring that aspect out and celebrate it we inspire others to do the same also.

The Goddess loves her body, she sees it as the temple of her Divinity. This means she feeds it with intention and with foods that shall nourish and enrich. She clothes and covers her body with that which is about a celebration, an honouring of all she is. Everything about her is an expression of her Inner Truth- and that Truth is Love, Empowerment, Creativity, Strength, Grace, Poetry, Healing……and so much more.

She does not look at her body and find fault. She loves it all as the extension of the Divine. And should she treat herself with Love her body shall be an expression of this.

She does not seek to compete with others- wanting what they have got- for she knows she has an abundance in her

She does not compare herself to others- for she knows that all are unique and all are blessed.

She does not seek to steal from others- for she has no need to steal from another when she can manifest her own desires.

She does not seek to emulate others- her gifts are unique and her focus is on sharing herself with the world.

She engages with the world from a place of balance. A place of empowerment and love. A place of action and waiting.

She has focus and determination in all she seeks

She loves with an abandon and a ferocity. She approaches life with this same ferocity and passion

Every moment in her life is alive and everything in her life is an extension of that breath of life. Should it not be she is able to transform it to be so

She lives in harmony with her environment. Communicating with the animals, the plant kingdoms.

She lives in harmony with all of life.

She brings people together- she creates community- she has no attachment to this creation, it is simple creation

She knows there are dimensions that are yet to be discovered. She knows there is an affinity with the worlds in the stars and the seas

She seeks to empower others and only empower others. Not to take from them or disempower them in any way

She protects that she loves and will fight for what she loves

Her ability to manifest- to  create- to transform in every moment means every step she takes on this land is a blessing and she knows this- in every step she takes

She is able to transform this reality in another

She is able to transform her wounds- and there may be many- into her medicine for the world.

And then pass this medicine onto others and so keep on the empowerment of others

She is able to use her life stories to weave her medicine for others and in so doing weave all our stories together and show us we are One

And she does this through ultimate union with her masculine equal- the God that matches her in every way- and together their balance is a place of fusion and poetry- a place of creation – a space of the infinite.

She is in all of us and we awaken her through dance, through the senses, through song, through laughter, through poetry, through that which brings Joy in our lives.

I know looking at all that has come through in this channelling I am not there- yet. I know I have places in me that need healing and loving even now after decades of work. I know that so many of us are Goddesses in waiting and that is fine- for we keep doing the work and in so doing we expand into the magic of this Universe even more.

I would rather any day look to where I can grow- rather than look to where I have grown and say job done! It is never job done or we would not still be here.

I celebrate each and every woman who is able to heal her wounds and go deeper to seek the Goddess within.

Together we are One Goddess.
